Headzone® Home HT is the ideal headphone system to reproduce surround sound in home cinema systems. Using Headzone® Home HT you will experience movies and concerts in a realistic sound. The system comprises the HBC 1 base station and the DT 880 HT headphone with head tracker. The intelligent base station provides two digital inputs (optical and coaxial) to automatically recognise and decode surround signals such as Dolby*Digital, DTS®** or Dolby Pro Logic. Headzone® Home HT features the patented head tracking technology. Via the head tracker the headphone transmits per ultrasound information about its position to the head tracking receiver connected to the HBC 1 base station. The head tracking technology ensures that speakers, instruments and sounds in the film always come from the direction that the producer intended, even when turning the head. The virtual loudspeakers do not move to reproduce the whole acoustic reality of loudspeakers and room. The volume can easily be adjusted with the volume control integrated in the headphone cable.

Note: When playing Blu-ray discs with the new audio formats Dolby Digital Plus / Dolby True HD / DTS-HD Master Audio, the Blu-ray player transmits the separately contained surround "core" via the S/PDIF output. Thus, Headzone® Home provides about twice the resolution as known from conventional audio formats.
